Software
Localization
Merlin uses experienced in-house localizers for your software
products. Our localizers will be trained on the background
of the product before the project start (our product expert
will find all relevant information about the product and
the industry to which the product belongs). Then our localizers
will work with visualize tool like Corel Catalyst, Multizer
and Microsoft Localization Studio (for Microsoft project
only) to ensure they know what they are working on. Our
qualified software QA experts will perform the linguistic
software QA (which we called Static QA) and pick up all
linguistic bugs. After static QA stage, the translations
are ready for building and testing.
Document Translation
Merlin only uses qualified translators and editors with
sufficient related knowledge for your document translation
project. All the translators are divided into different
teams in light of their majors. The specification of your
project is what we concern before choosing the most suitable
team for you. Besides, translating, editing and proofreading
– all these three obligatory steps ensure us to
perform excellent translation. Merlin uses translation
memory technology in most situations. We provide discount
to our clients for repetitions and fuzzy match.
Web Localization
By the end of 2002, the net population in China has amounted
to 58,000,000, second only to America.Therfore, web localization
is a promising industry in China. In Merlin's view, the
web localization is different from software localization
in that it doesn’t involve the process of translation
alone. Indeed, cultural difference should also be taken
into consideration. Merlin has a pool of translators from

Game and Multimedia Localization
With over three hundred million young people in China
today, the computer and video game area in China is a
huge but currently under served and under developed market

Merlin has established a department exclusively devoted
to game localization. Our goal in setting up this department
is to provide professional, international quality and
low cost game localization services for first tier international
Clients. With regard to Multimedia and E-Learning localization,
our goal is to provide the same international quality,
cost effective solutions as in software localization and
other related areas where we have already built our reputation.
To serve such a goal, we have staffed our new department
with experts in the Multimedia and Multimedia localization
